This is an exquisite handmade women's ring resembles the ancient priestly breastplate (in Hebrew choshen) worn by the Cohanim in the Ancient Jewish Temple in Jerusalem. The 12 gemstones represent the 12 tribes of Israel.
Anat Dachoach (the artist) uses the original moulds and tools that her grandfather (see picture at bottom) brought over with him to Israel when he immigrated from Yemin in the 1960s. The Dachoach family has been creating fine traditional Yeminite jewelry for more than 3 generations.
Each piece is individually handcrafted by the artist and not mass produced. It is made of 925 Sterling silver.
This is a wonderful gift for anyone who is a Cohen, enjoys the Bible/Tanakh, Jerusalem, or just fine jewlery.
